Apple ‘Rumour Factory’ – iPad 3 Slated for Q1 2012 Release
Oct 17, 2011 iPad development
The Apple ‘Rumour Factory’ have again started grinding. Now, it is with iPad 3. Reports suggest that the Apple iPad 3 has entered production just days after the iPhone 4S release.
With iPhone 4S now a distant memory, all the attention and rumours are turned to iPad 3 reportedly entering production.
With an iPad 3 release date not expected until around March or April of 2012, industry analyst Jeff Fidacaro of Susquehanna Financial has claimed the third-gen iPad device has entered production in China with the iPad 2 replacement to be constructed alongside 11 to 13 million of the current Apple tablet.
“Since our last month supply chain checks we are now seeing 600,000 to one million iPad 3 builds showing up on the plan for the fourth quarter of calendar 2011.” Said Fidacaro.
The last two generations of iPads have both been released around the same time each year, launching in March in both the States and in Western Europe and so we are expecting the same release date for iPad 3 next year.

Six Figure For iPad: iPad Apps Crosses 100,000!
Jul 1, 2011 iPad development, News
Bravo!! It is now six figures for iPad. Apple App Store is showing 100,000 apps specially for iPad. An achievement of a kind in just 15 months, since the tablet went on sale. “That’s a record: it took Apple more than 16 months to put together 100,000 iPhone apps,” noted Cult of Mac.
To be more precise, the platform has been out for 453 days, with developers getting access to its software development kit in January 2010. At Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the company announced that it had 90,000 iPad apps, but it appears that number has grown in less than a month’s time.
Apple is already in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the “Most Popular Application Marketplace.” However, Apple has yet to confirm the latest count.
