According to the study (SURL’s study used a small sample set of 52 respondents), 83.65% were satisfied with the iPad. The survey also asked to rate the user-friendliness of the device — 62% rated the iPad as “Excellent”, 21% rated as “Good”, 10% as “Best Imaginable”, 4% as “Fair”, 2% as “Poor”.

According to the respondents, the popularity of iPad was because of the variety of apps, the large screen size and portability. What people liked least was the poor quality of some apps, the inability to play Adobe Flash, and problems typing with the keyboard.

SURL stated that Apple actually listens to its customers. Participants from the original study mentioned that lack of camera and the ability to do multitasking is one of the drawbacks of the tablet PC. Apple introduced cameras in iPad 2 and the multitasking feature was introduced for both ipad and ipad 2.
