Google iPad ‘Catalogs’ For Holiday Shopping From Home Tweet

Using Google Books technology, the Internet giant Google has launched new Catalogs app on Monday for iPad and Android. Looking at the app, one can easily say this Holiday will be like shopping for your near ones sitting on your couch. The customers will be able to shop directly from their iPad using this application. The app will simply scan the catalogs from retailers into a digital form from where customers can purchase.
Catalogs are taken from more than 125 brands spanning more than 400 digital catalog issues. Retailers like ThinkGeek, Williams-Sonoma, Nike, Sharper Image and Pottery Barn have aldready enlisted in Catalogs. The iPad essentially loads up the app and allows users to flip through the virtual pages to find something they want and purchase it through an internal link, which opens up in a browser within the application.
This free iPad app will be a great assistance to those who are looking for holidays gifts and discounts on major brands.
