iPad Application Developer

This App was demoed & announced in March, and showed us the new look of magazine on iPad. This app is heavily loaded with interactive / multimedia content, like slide show, video and music. Wired Magazine for iPad is live in App Store for $4.99.

The total size of the app is around 527MB, which shows that app is packed with enough of multimedia content and this is not an ideal app to be downloaded on the go via a 3G network instead you’d prefer downloading it through Wifi.

Do you know that Conde Nast was actually in talk with Adobe early this year to get their Wired Magazine to iPad and various tablet platforms? Since, Apple’s announcement that they’re not going to allow cross-platform code developed through cross-compilers to the App Store. Indeed, this Wired Magazine for iPad delayed because of this and Conde Nast planned not to use Adobe’s cross-platform code and used Apple’s Objective-C, which is iPhone’s native language, to develop this app.
