Why iPad is Banned in Yankee Stadium Tweet
May 26, 2010 News
This is the 3rd news regarding iPad ban on ipad application developer so is it on the web, well the iPad’s have been banned at the Yankee Stadium, the stadium has a “no laptop “security policy and patrons won’t be able to enter the ball field with a laptop in their possession, iPad being a laptop-replacement (according to some) seems like it would fall under that category as well. Yahoo Sports confirmed with the same previously.
But the iPad was issued a statement from Transportation Security Administration that it need not be removed from bag for a separate check at airports and is TSA friendly but Yankee stadium says it’s a no-go device.
But a user on IGN boards Spacekatgal posted the same day during the game, she was refused to enter the stadium by the guards but later on she slipped the iPad inside the jacket and then re-entered and posted this:
I’m at the game right now, watching them play the Red Sox. The security people told me it was not allowed and I was turned away at the gates.
Why on earth would they have this policy? Terrorism concerns? I couldn’t get an answer. I snuck it in under my jacket.. I bring it to Fenway all the time and they don’t care.
Scary.

So now can we call the iPad TSA friendly ?
