Apple Brings Back 20 Years Old Ad Theme for iPad Tweet
May 13, 2010 News
Apple launched a new iPad ad tonight called “What is iPad”. The ad is a little different from their recent iPad ads and contains a brief narration on what is iPad. After watching the ad however, we could see the correlation between this ad and the series of ads Apple did around 20 years back for Apple Newton.
If they continue to follow the same trend we are likely to see two more ads for “Who is iPad” and “Where is iPad”, just the way they did for Apple Newton.
Apple Newton was the first PDA, launched in 1993. The product was not very successful though, mainly due to the initial bad press that it received and they could never overcome that. Later Steve Jobs decided to discontinue the product.
