iPad Now Available for International Market Tweet

Apple kept its promise, International pre-orders for iPad are open as of today.

People from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK can pre-order iPad from today onwards from their country specific online Apple Stores. However, it will not be before 28th May that the devices start shipping for those countries.

As it has always been with all Apple products, European customers will have to pay a much higher price for the iPad. Particularly, those in the UK will need to pay a minimum of 429 GBP to get an iPad, if they are looking for a 3G version the price would go upto a minimum of 529 GBP.

This international availability of iPad would definitely warm up the iPad application market further as there will be a bigger customer base and also more and more iPad application developers would step into the market.
